About this data

Yonkers figures are five-year estimates (2020–2024) from the American Community Survey. The U.S. transit and drive-alone rates (3.7% and 69.2%) and the top-10 ranking come from the 2024 one-year survey. The pandemic changed commuting sharply, so the 2020–2024 average includes years with unusually high work-from-home rates.
